TIME OF YEAR
Starlight Overnight Immersion
Immerse yourself in nature at the magical hour of sunset. Watching the night come in is an unique and special transition. Pausing for a moment, we can come alive to it as a primal, spiritual and cosmic experience which awakens our senses. It’s also an experience shaped by astronomy.
It’s the sensation of walking through the forest, listening to the enduring nocturnal sounds of nature. Its’s lifting your gaze to the firmament and being awestruck by a sky full of stars with the full moon rising. These are universal events that occur every day. Yet rarely do we consciously stop to experience them profoundly. Undoubtedly, this is a moment you will remember.

Where does the crossing take place?
The province of Teruel is a special and cosmic place. Due to its location and low population, the Starlight Foundation has given the Starlight Reserve and Starlight Tourist Destination designation to three regions of Teruel. This certifies that they are among the best places for stargazing in Spain and Europe.
The quality of the sky in this region offers very good possibilities for contemplating the starry skies. Moreover, being protected from light pollution, it is a unique destination for developing astronomical interpretation activities on many nights of the year.

What are we going to do?
An immersive night-time experience
Night trekking
An activity that offers a different experience, one that we may have rarely considered doing. Walking at night is a festival of sensations and emotions. This pleasurable and rewarding experience begins at late twilight, so that you can experience the sensation of walking along listening to the enduring sounds of nocturnal nature, while at the same time seeing the night draw in.
The route is laid out along wide and easy to walk trails at night. No risk of falling. The planned routes run along orientations that allow for wide views of the horizon, so that you can be in a location that allows you to enjoy the transition from day to night.
Interpreting the night sky
A STARLIGHT guide will take us on an explanatory tour to teach us interesting facts and help us to interpret the night sky. The places we have selected for this experience range from forests to rocky areas or even a moor where there is a lagoon.
